Here is pretty much the only good photo I took last night at the And So I Watch You From Afar gig at the Thekla in Bristol (which has been cropped but not photoshopped/edited in any other way) and I love the fact that even though everybody was jumping around and just generally going crazy, the only person perfectly in focus is the band’s bass player. I wouldn’t be able to take another picture like that if I tried

Here’s a Lemmy Kilmister / Motörhead inspired design I created the other day while watching the Lemmy film documentary.
I realised that when you write ‘Lemmy’ in the Motorhead font the upper case ‘L’ is a similar shape to half of his moustache, so if you add another one, flip it, then add a cowboy hat, you get a Lemmy shape…sort of :P
The instrumental rock band ‘And So I Watch You From Afar’ are starting their European tour next month (I’ve already got my ticket to see them play the Thekla in Bristol) and I love this tour poster that they’re using!
…The last time I saw them live I asked someone in the crowd for directions to the toilet and it turned out the person I’d talked to was their new guitarist
It was mine and my girlfriend’s anniversary last week and this is the brilliant present she gave me, a limited edition, hand silk screened Eagles of Death Metal UK tour poster for the gig that I went to, which was actually printed and sold at the venue on the night!
The poster was designed by Chris Hopewell at Jacknife Studios (which is based in Bristol) and the support band that night, The Hot Melts, aren’t together any more but I became a fan after seeing them at this gig and I highly recommend that people go and buy the only album they released
This brilliant T-shirt design, Jammin’ by quick-brown-fox and goliath72, is up for scoring over at Threadless as part of the Sony Soundtrack competition so if you think it should get printed click on the image above and score it a 5!
I think it looks good on the T-shirt but I think it could look even better as a print so fingers crossed it will be available to buy as a poster at some point, and don’t forget that you can still score my ‘Danger of Death Metal’ T-shirt design over at Threadless as well!
I’m trying not to buy more black T-shirts because I don’t wear them very often but I bought one yesterday and I think I’m probably going to end up buying this one as well…
