I have a full time job designing and making signage but I’m still technically an apprentice so every so often I get given tasks by my College, and the last one they gave me was to design and make a decorative wooden panel.
The College provided the wood, which we weren’t allowed to change the dimensions of, and the panel had to be hung vertically and also given a function.
These photos were taken before I’d actually finished making it (afterwards I added the rest of the girders and some black hooks so that the panel could be used as a key rack) and although the task was pretty pointless because it didn’t teach me anything, I’m pretty pleased with what I made. Especially seeing as I only made it in one afternoon without really planning it out
This is a great design called Donkey Kong Kaleidoscope and it was created by Todd Slater for the “Multiplayer x2” video game art exhibition at Gallery1988 over in America which will be running between February 10th and March 3rd!
